France’s household confidence index fell to 80 in October, a five-point monthly decline that left it at its lowest level since June 2013, the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) said.

Anadolu reported that higher prices and unemployment concerns weighed on household sentiment. It said demonstrations that began over school conditions widened to include opposition to the government’s economic policies.
