SAN JOSE, Calif., July 19, 2017 -- Fry’s Electronics, one of America's leading retailers of computers and consumer electronics products, today announced that it selected Deliv, a leading same-day delivery company, to power Fry’s same-day and scheduled delivery service. Fry’s will offer same-day delivery in an initial rollout in half of Fry’s markets across the country, including San Jose, Orange County, LA, Oakbrook, Las Vegas, Dallas, Houston, and Seattle.

More than 90 percent of the items Fry’s carries are eligible for same-day delivery and over 500 items will be eligible for free same-day delivery. This means that everything from routers and switches to laptops, gaming systems, TVs, major appliances, and even gaming chairs can arrive at a customer-specified location (work or home) within a few hours of purchase. Customers schedule delivery when it’s convenient for them.
“Our customers are passionate about technology, which means in today's world they want to get their hands on our products as quickly as possible,” said Randy Fry, president of Fry’s. “Deliv helps us deliver an exceptional fast and friendly experience that rewards that excitement and that’s consistent with our brand.”
Fry’s customers located in Deliv's markets can shop on Frys.com and select a same-day delivery window on the checkout page. Fry’s then seamlessly passes delivery notifications to Deliv via the Deliv API. A Deliv driver then picks up items from the nearest Fry’s location, turning stores into localized fulfillment resources from which Fry’s can offer a completely seamless, highly efficient delivery experience. Same-day delivery is being offered at an introductory price of $4.99 in Deliv service markets.
“Fry’s has always been on the forefront of technology, offering products that no one else carries and catering to tech enthusiasts,” said Deliv founder and CEO, Daphne Carmeli. “We are honored that Fry’s chose Deliv as its same-day delivery partner. It’s a testament to the quality of our delivery network and service offering. With Deliv, Fry’s owns all customer transaction data and maintains the direct relationship with its customers.”
