It is almost a month since “Fuller House” season 4 was released on Netflix. So, it is understandable if fans are now wondering if “Fuller House” season 5 will be set in stone. If that happens, there are already some possible storylines to explore in the next chapter of the Fuller-Tanner-Gibbler gang.
TV networks usually base the renewal and cancellation of shows on viewer ratings. But, Netflix is a very different type of entertainment company. So, predicting the release of “Fuller House” season 5 could be quite tricky.
With the absence of reports on shows ratings, fans can only determine if the show is doing well based on viewers’ reactions shared in various online platforms and critics’ reviews aggregator sites. But, Netflix is also known for suddenly canceling well-received shows for an array of reasons — cases in point: “Sense8,” “The Get Down,” “Orange Is the New Black,” and more. This means fans will have to wait for the company’s official announcement for “Fuller House” season 5.
In October 2018, there was a rumor that Netflix is not considering the release of “Fuller House” season 5. However, a couple of cast members were quick to dispute the report. The entertainment company also released a statement saying it has not reached a decision at the time. So, the future of the show could still be hanging in the balance. But, since season 4 is about to reach its one month anniversary, such announcement could be imminent.
Season 4 provided another satisfying and heartfelt conclusion without losing the typical Fuller-Tanner-Gibbler comedic misadventures. The latest installment ended with Kimmy (Andrea Barber) giving birth and Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) getting engaged. A marriage proposal is not much of a cliffhanger compared to Kimmy’s pregnancy, but it still opens a lot of plot possibilities for “Fuller House” season 5.
If “Fuller House” season 5 is going to happen, fans are most likely curious how Stephanie and her she-wolf pack will help her adjust to the life of being a mother. And, of course, they have to take care of the baby while also planning for a wedding.
Meanwhile, despite the absence of a “Fuller House” season 5 announcement, there are already speculations on its possible premiere date on Netflix. Some reports suggest it might retain a late-in-the-year release in 2019.
