Fundamentals to watch out for this week

This week is relatively less risky in terms of volatility due to lack of high-powered data or events.

What to watch for over the coming days:

  • Economic data:

U.S. will announce first quarter GDP numbers on Thursday and details of PCE inflation on Friday. United Kingdom’s first quarter GDP report will be released on Friday. Japan’s May inflation numbers will be released on Thursday.

  • Trump:

President Trump will meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time on Monday. As Indian economy grows at fastest pace in the world, U.S. lawmakers have urged Trump to press on Modi to make India friendlier for American business.

Along with the above fundamentals, unscheduled Brexit commentaries, happenings in the Middle East, and Korean peninsula are likely to keep influencing the market.
