About Switzerland Unemployment Rate

The Switzerland unemployment rate released by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO)represents the number of unemployed persons expressed as a percentage of the labour force.

It is the number of unemployed workers divided by the total civilian labor force and indicates any expansion or contraction within the Swiss labour market.

A lower than expected number should be taken as positive to the CHF, while a higher than expected number as negative.
