Lots of data and events scheduled for today, and all with low to medium volatility risks associated.

Data released so far:

  • China: PPI inflation up 4.1 percent y/y in August, down from 4.6 percent in July. CPI inflation up 2.3 percent y/y, up from 2.1 percent in July.
     
  • Japan: Eco Watchers’ current index rose to 48.7 in August from 46.6 in July. Outlook index rose to 51.4 from 49

Upcoming:

  • United Kingdom: Manufacturing and industrial production reports will be released at 8:30 GMT, along with July trade balance report. NIESR will release its GDP estimate today.
     
  • Eurozone: Sentix investor confidence report will be released at 8:30 GMT.
     
  • United States: FOMC member Bostic is set for a speech at 12:00 GMT. July consumer credit report will be published at 19:00 GMT.
     
  • New Zealand: Electronic card retail sales report will be published at 22:45 GMT.
     
  • Auction: The U.S. will auction 3-month and 6-month bills at 15:30 GMT.
