• Australia: April trade balance came at $0.98 billion as imports failed to grow and exports declined by 2 percent.

Upcoming:

• Switzerland: May unemployment report will be released at 5:45 GMT, followed by forex reserve details at 7:00 GMT.
   
• Germany: April factory orders report will be released at 6:00 GMT.
   
• France: April trade balance report will be released at 6:45 GMT.
   
• United Kingdom: Halifax house price report will be released at 7:30 GMT. MPC member Ramsden is set for a speech at 15:00 GMT.
   
• Italy: April retail sales report will be released at 8:00 GMT.
   
• Eurozone: Q1 GDP report will be released at 9:00 GMT.
   
• United States: Weekly jobless claims report will be released at 12:30 GMT, followed by consumer credit report at 19:00 GMT. EIA will release weekly natural gas inventory report at 14:30 GMT.
   
• Canada: BoC will release financial system review at 14:30 GMT. BoC governor Poloz is set for a speech at 15:15 GMT.
   
• Japan: Q1 GDP report will be released at 23:50 GMT, along with trade balance report.
   
• Auction: Spain will auction 3-year, 5-year, 10-year bonds today. France will auction 10-year bond.
