Data released so far:

  • Japan: Nikkei manufacturing PMI rose to 50.2 in April from 49.5 prior.
     
  • Australia: March trade balance came at $4.95 billion with exports and imports both declining by 2 percent. Reserve Bank of Australia Kept the monetary policy rate unchanged at 150 bps.   

Upcoming:

  • Germany: March Factory orders report due at 6:00 GMT.
     
  • France: March trade balance report will be released at 6:45 GMT.
     
  • Switzerland: April forex reserve details will be released at 7:30 GMT.
     
  • United Kingdom: Halifax house price report due at 7:30 GMT. BoE’s chief economist Andy Haldane is set for a speech at 16:30 GMT. BRC retail sales report 23:00 GMT.
     
  • China: Forex reserve details due at 8:00 GMT.
     
  • United States: JOLTS jobs report to be released at 14:00 GMT. Fed’s Quarles is set for a speech at 15:35 GMT. The consumer credit report will be released at 19:00 GMT.
     
  • Canada: IVEY PMI report will be released at 14:00 GMT.
     
  • New Zealand: Global dairy auction is scheduled today.
     
  • Auction: The U.S. will auction 3-year notes at 15:30 GMT.
