U.S. stocks ended higher Thursday after the Nasdaq Composite recovered from an intraday low, with later gains in technology shares and company results helping support the broader market, the Associated Press reported.

Nasdaq’s index history lists the Composite’s low at 26,308.85 and its close at 26,713.03, up 20.16 points, or 0.1%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average’s official index history shows a 556.21-point gain, or 1.1%, to 52,177.69, while the S&P 500’s official index history shows a 25.12-point rise, or 0.3%, to 7,744.06.

The AP attributed the uneven morning to investor doubts about the AI boom. Technology shares regained some ground later in the session, while corporate earnings supported other stocks, it reported.

Earlier Thursday, investors had also been weighing AI company valuations and the financing of related infrastructure, as EconoTimes reported in its account of mixed U.S. stock futures.
