NORCROSS, Ga., Nov. 13, 2017 -- Galectin Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:GALT), the leading developer of therapeutics that target galectin proteins, announced that Peter G. Traber, M.D., the Company's chief executive officer and chief medical officer, has been named the Chair of the Anti-Fibrotic Drug Development Summit 2017. The Summit, which is dedicated to the translation of fibrotic mechanisms into clinically effective therapeutics, will take place November 13-14 at the Hyatt Regency Boston, Boston, MA.
As Chair, Dr. Traber will deliver opening and closing remarks on both days of the Summit. Increasingly recognized as one of the leading authorities on the diagnosis and treatment of fibrotic disease, Dr. Traber also recently served as chair of the NASH Summit Europe.
