Gaza's Health Ministry reported at least 1,593 Palestinians killed since the October 2025 ceasefire began. Separate reports described five deaths on Monday across the territory.
The ministry also counted 5,748 people wounded during the ceasefire period. Medical sources reported three deaths in strikes in Khan Younis and al-Musaddar: two in the southern city and one in a drone attack in the central Gaza area.
WAFA identified Hani Hamed Kahil as the man killed when a vehicle was struck in Gaza City's Tal al-Hawa neighborhood. The agency said five others were wounded. WAFA also reported that Youssef Abu Younis died Monday from injuries sustained in an Israeli strike on Sunday.
The Israeli military said its three strikes targeted Palestinian fighters and provided no additional details. Al Jazeera reported that three people were wounded when a community kitchen minibus was hit in Gaza City's Zeitoun neighborhood.
Al Jazeera's report put the broader Gaza death toll at at least 74,609 and the number wounded at 175,872. The latest report follows other fatal incidents EconoTimes covered during the ceasefire.
The U.N. migration agency said Oct. 9 that nearly two million people in Gaza needed shelter assistance. It said about half of the territory's tents and improvised shelters needed replacement ahead of winter.
