Hollywood power couple George Clooney and Amal Clooney have apparently reached a resolution about his love for riding motorbikes. Now, a Harley Davidson owned by the actor is now up for auction that would benefit military veterans.
Several personalities including Ben Stiller, Jake Tapper, and Kenny Chesney organized the Homes for Our Troops Veterans Day Celebrity Auction currently hosted on eBay. Several valuable items are currently listed for the charity auction but the listing for George’s motorcycle likely revealed that Amal demanded him to skip on riding two-wheel vehicles for good.
The product listing for George’s motorcycle includes a description that the actor presumably wrote himself. “Ever since George Clooney’s motorcycle accident, his wife Amal has told him he’s off two wheels for good. George just bought a brand new dresser Harley with only 25 MILES ON THE ODOMETER!— all yours if you win the bidding. You’re responsible for pickup in Los Angeles. George will even sign it for you,” the blurb reads.
Note that the bike being auctioned was not involved in the accident. In July, George Clooney was caught up in a vehicular mishap after a car rammed into a Yamaha TMAX motorcycle he was riding while taking a break while filming in Italy. According to PEOPLE, George sustained injuries from the incident while Amal Clooney was extremely worried and reportedly “wouldn’t leave his side" while the actor was brought to a local hospital.
Pre-approved buyers on eBay may now place their bids for George’s 2017 Touring Ultra Limited Harley Davidson. All pertinent details and technical specifications of the vehicle are provided in its official product listing, which also includes a photo of the actor and Amal riding the motorcycle. The auction will run until Nov. 15.
Meanwhile, George Clooney’s promised signature will be placed in the bike’s tank. Amal Clooney’s husband is also willing to include a customized autograph for whoever is going to win the bidding. As of this writing, the current bid is now at $26,100 with eight days left in the auction.
