Ubisoft has unveiled the upcoming update for "Ghost Recon Breakpoint" called Operation Motherland that will be released soon. It is confirmed to bring back familiar features and factions to the game while also introducing a new game mode.
The developer released a new trailer for the "Ghost Recon Breakpoint" Operation Motherland, revealing that the mission takes place just a few months after the events of Operation Greenstone. A new kind of threat rises in Auroa after eliminating the dangers posed by the Nomad.
"The island has become a key strategic target for powerful countries interested in controlling the island and its technology," Ubisoft said. As a result, the interest in gaining control of Auroa results in a potential global crisis. In this operation led by Karen Bowman, the CIA has decided to support Ito and the Outcasts because they are the "neutral forces" in Auroa.
One of the main features of the "Ghost Recon Breakpoint" update is the new game mode called Conquest, which is described as an alternative to the classic story mode of the game. In Conquest Mode, players can choose from various missions, such as stealing vehicles, destroying objectives, and taking over enemy camps. Conquest Mode will also allow players to choose whether to extract or kill four lieutenants of the Bodark faction.
There is a reason "Ghost Recon Breakpoint" players can choose what missions to take on in Conquest Mode. Ubisoft says the action of players while completing the operation will have an effect throughout Auroa.
The main adversaries in "Ghost Recon Breakpoint" Operation Motherland are the Bodarks, described as "ruthless infiltrators and manipulators" with known connections to the Sentinel and Wolves. There are five types of Bodarks that players will encounter in the wild and encampments. Some of them are tacticians quick to call for backup, while others are heavily armed and will quickly chase down the players. Some Bodarks are also well-versed in using rocket launchers, rifles, and optical camouflage.
While completing missions across the island, the Outcasts will be more present throughout Auroa. This will result in the return of faction warfare in "Ghost Recon Breakpoint." "You'll notice road checkpoints, convoys, hostage situations, and patrols fill the island based on faction presence," Ubisoft said.
"Ghost Recon Breakpoint" Operation Motherland will be released on Tuesday, Nov. 2. It is a free update to all players who have purchased the base game.
