Brace yourselves for more “Gilmore Girls.”
According to Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos, the streaming company is currently in talks with show creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino to produce more episodes for the cult tv favorite. In an interview published on Sunday, he told British news agency Press Association, "The worst thing is to wait a couple of years for your favorite show to come back and for it to disappoint you but they sure delivered and people were really excited about more and we have been talking to them about the possibility of that."
It would be noted that “Gilmore Girls: A Year In the Life,” had left fans hanging as Rory (Alexis Bledel) confided to a newly-married Lorelai (Lauren Graham) that she is pregnant. The return of the comedy drama, which originally aired from 2000-2007, had fans and critics alike praising the Palladinos for being able to finish the story they weren’t able to do so in their own terms, TIME reported.
Although Sarandos said the talks are “very preliminary,” some of the actors are already expecting to resolve the cliffhanger ending in the near future. However, there might be one character that might not show up on Rory’s life, and if you’re a Rory-Jess fan, Milo Ventimiglia’s comments may not be good for you.
In an earlier interview, the current “This is Us” star said about the possibility of “Gilmore Girls” returning for more episodes, “... Audiences shouldn’t get so greedy. They were given a last serving of pie. Why don’t we just leave it at that?”
