VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 14, 2017 -- Global Gardens Group Inc. (the "Company") (TSX-V:VGM) announces that it has secured the support of the major U.S. Natural Food Channel distributors. Veggemo now has distribution capability to secure the large group of U.S. retailers who desire to have Veggemo on their shelves.
“Working with our selling agency Advantage Solutions, we have partnered with the three largest U.S. natural food distributors to maximize the reach of the Veggemo Brand,” explained Rob Harrison, President and CEO, Global Gardens Group. Mr. Harrison continues “their requirements were extensive and we are reaping the results of our efforts as we are now able to engage directly with the retailers they service. The U.S. natural food supply network is complex and constantly changing. Our ability to successfully manage the myriad of relationships has opened the door to broad support across the U.S.”
UNFI (United Natural Foods) is the largest natural food distributor. Veggemo is currently in 7 UNFI distribution centers, expanding to additional sites as larger retailers come on board. “UNFI’s sales team kick-off just occurred, empowering them to represent Veggemo to their large and widespread retailer member base,” commented Frank Hood, VP U.S. Business Development.
KeHE is the second largest U.S. natural food distributor. “KeHE’s support was 100% from the start, having reached out to us well prior to our U.S. launch. We are in all 100% of their targeted distributor centers and are already in 200+ of their independent and small chain stores,” explained Mr. Hood.
Market Centre/Unified Grocers services a large percentage of the independents/smaller chains in the California and Pacific Northwest markets. “Market Centre/Unified was also a strong supporter from the start,” added Mr. Hood.
“Customers are impressed by Veggemo’s unique 3-vegetable base and how it is on trend of where the consumer is headed. We expect to be ready to announce the support of multiple large retail chains over the next several weeks as Veggemo starts to hit their shelves,” cited Mr. Harrison.
Veggemo has received many awards and accolades. Out of over 500 entries, Veggemo was 1 of 3 finalist brands for “Best New Beverage” for the coveted NEXTY Awards at the Natural Products Show in Anaheim, California; and at the same show was voted the “Best New Vegan Product” by VegNews.
Anxious to meet the demand of every consumer, Veggemo is also available on Amazon and select natural food-focused online retailers (Vitacost).
