- Israel-Palestine-Jerusalem: Speaking at Palestine Liberation Organization’s (PLO) central committee meeting on Sunday, President Mahmoud Abbas called President Trump’s ‘deal of the century’, a ‘slap of the century’ and added that PLO will not accept the United States as the sole mediator in the peace process. Instead, he called for an international committee. However, didn’t rule out U.S. participation in that committee.
- Iran Nuclear Agreement: President Trump signed the sanctions waiver on Iran but announced that this is the last time he is signing the waiver if a better deal could not be reached. If the U.S. President doesn’t sign the sanctions waiver, they would be automatically re-imposed after 120 days.
- U.S. and Pakistan: In response to U.S. actions to cut aids to Pakistan, Pakistan halted security and intelligence cooperation with the United States.
- Indian Judicial crisis: Four most senior judges, after Chief Justice of India (CJI), revolted against the CJI saying that cases at the Supreme Court are being allotted not based on traditional methods but based on political bias. Several political cases, which according to the revolting judges were of immense importance to the nation were allotted by the CJI to smaller benches and to judges who ruled based on their political ideologies. One of the cases involved Amit Shah, the most senior aide to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
