Global Geopolitical Series: Key updates from across the world

Here are some key events to keep a tab on,

• Russia-U.S. - Syria: Four Russians have been killed in fighting with ISIS. Reports suggest that Russia is also considering to remove Iranian forces operating in Syria.   
   
• Russia-UK-Skripal: According to the latest report, to end the confusion, the culprits could be named by chemicals weapons attack, according to Ahmet Üzümcü, the chief of OPCW center investigating the crime, who dismissed Russia’s conspiracy theory that it was a setup.
   
• Korean Peninsula: The diplomats from South Korea, North Korea, and the United States are currently working to make the 12th June summit between President Donald Trump and the supreme leader Kim Jong-un to happen after President Trump scrapped the meeting last week citing anger and hostility from the Korean side. South Korean president Moon Jae in and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un also met to discuss the issue.
   
• Palestine - Israel: According to reports, Israel has started building a maritime border in Gaza and Israel has also engaged in indirect negotiations with Iran via Russia over Iran’s presence in Syria.     
   
• Turkey-Israel-United States: Relations further between Israel and Turkey as Israel moves to recognize the Armenian genocide and persuading the United States to do so.
   
• EU-Iran-U.S.: In a setback for the United States, Chinese President Xi Jinping will host Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to discuss on saving the Iran nuclear agreement as partners work to save it after U.S. exit.
