Global Geopolitical Series: PA tries to make ICC case against Israeli minister over kite/kite-bomb flying

The ministry of foreign affairs called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to prosecute Israeli internal security minister Gilad Ardan for inciting against those flying kites in the Gaza strip. The Minister reportedly called for Palestinians to be assassinated, who were launching kits from Gaza strip. The foreign ministry also released a statement condemning the statement of the interior minister.

However, in reality, it is not as simple as flying kites. There are plenty of reports, one can find, which shows at least some people were not just playing with kites but fire. Petrol bombs were being attached to the kites with an aim to damage firms on the Israeli side of the border. Even balloons were reportedly being used. A similar tactic was used by the Russians using pigeons when Napoleon invaded Russia a few centuries ago.

ICC is likely to reject the Palestinian call as plenty of exists suggesting not all kites flown were peaceful.
