Global Geopolitical Series: Trump ready to make mark at Davos trip with full cabinet

President Trump will be attending the Davos summit to be held later in the month (Jan. 23-26) and he is ready to make his mark there along with his full cabinet, who would be traveling to the event with the President. On Thursday, White House released a list of delegates, who would be heading for the event to be held at Switzerland, which is the biggest gathering of world leaders, world’s richest and business executives.

Treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin will be leading the delegation that includes,

  • Rex Tillerson, Secretary of State
  • Wilbur Ross, Secretary of Commerce
  • Alex Acosta, Secretary of Labour
  • Elaine Chao, Secretary of Transportation
  • Rick Perry, secretary of Energy
  • Kirstjen Nielsen, Secretary of Homeland Security
  • Robert Lighthizer, United States Trade Representative
  • Thomas Bossert, assistant to the president for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism
  • Jared Kushner, assistant to the president and senior adviser
  • Mark Green, administrator of the United States Agency for International Development
  • Scott Gottlieb, commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration

In addition to the above list, White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster, and Director of the National Economic Council Gary Cohn and some other members of the White House staff will also be traveling with the President.

President Trump will be the first sitting U.S. President to visit Davos since Bill Clinton visited the event back in 2000.
