One of the highly anticipated twists in “Goblin Slayer” episode 9 is the return of the Goblin Champion that almost killed Orcbolg and Priestess at the same time. Does this mean that the party of adventurers is once again facing a huge trouble?
Meanwhile, before viewers can get to that surprise, “Goblin Slayer” episode 9 is also expected to pick up from where episode 8 concluded. The protagonists went back to the Water Town sewers where they encountered a giant eye demon.
Orbolg orchestrated an effective attack and upon defeating the demon, the adventurers observed a mysterious mirror it was guarding. Obviously, this object is most likely the source of action in “Goblin Slayer” episode 9.
At first, the adventurers will be confused as to what the mirror’s purpose is. But in the manga chapters where “Goblin Slayer” episode 9 will be based, they will soon realize that it is some sort of a magical portal used to transport and hide a more equipped horde of goblins that almost defeated them earlier.
Upon further investigation of the room where the demon and mirror are placed, Orcbolg will find a flag made by the goblins. They will soon realize that it carries a symbol that promises to avenge the eye that the Goblin Champion lost from Orcbolg’s previous attack. And this is where “Goblin Slayer” episode 9 will start to get interesting.
Aside from realizing the revenge attack that the goblins are planning, the adventurers will also figure out that the exact room where they are standing is where the goblins will arrive. The Goblin Champion is, so far, the fiercest enemy Orcbolg faced in the anime series. Coming into “Goblin Slayer” episode 9, the adventurers are already exhausted which puts them in a disadvantageous position.
On a more positive note, Orcbolg’s party of adventurers will have some time to set traps and plan their actions. So unlike their first meeting with the Goblin Champion, the protagonists will be more prepared in “Goblin Slayer” episode 9. This anime installment will air on Sunday, Dec. 2.
