“Goblin Slayer” Season 2 is already being talked about in discussion forums despite the current installment having seven more episodes to air. This just proves that the series is quite the hit among fans since the overall atmosphere of the show isn’t naturally found in the anime genre, Monsters and Critics reported.
Although dark-themed animes have already existed before “Goblin Slayer,” the show appears to have found the perfect blend between horrific events and engaging storytelling. But there’s still a blatant lack of humor that “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 needs to address.
Indeed, most – if not all – animes that have become household names have a mix of amusing moments weaved into their storylines that temper the action sequences with lighthearted scenes. However, even without a lot of humor, the show still manages to draw in a lot of viewers. “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 may very well stick to its current formula given how successful the anime is at the moment.
There’s also a heavy sense of foreboding for secondary characters everytime they get put in dangerous situations. This is a testament to the fact that the dark tone of the series has soaked into the expectations of its target audience. This very fact becomes prominent in the show’s latest episode, where two low-ranking characters ventured into a precarious tunnel system in search of their lost weapon. There’s no doubt that when “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 gets released, this apprehension will be more pronounced compared to what audiences are feeling now.
And speaking of this, news about “Goblin Slayer” Season 2 is scarce at the moment and it’s still unknown if White Fox or other entities responsible for creating the show have greenlighted a second installment. But judging by the positive reception that the series is enjoying now, it’s highly likely that a second season will be approved.
As for the villain, it’s expected that the Goblin Paladin will be the main antagonist to Orcbolg in “Goblin Slayer” Season 2. This monstrosity will also be the goblin counterpart to the reticent protagonist.
