As Season 3 of “Gotham” progresses, things have been picking up for one of TVlandia’s favorite “are-they-or-aren’t-they” couples. Selina (Camren Renee Bicondova) and Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) seems to be getting along just fine, with the show fans shipping the pair as #BatCat.
But because they are destined to become rivals in the DC Comics universe, it is to be expected that budding relationship will soon come to a grinding halt.
Bicondova told Comicbook.com that Selina will find her happiness cut short as her mother was revealed to be a con artist, and that Bruce long suspected of such. She expressed her excitement about Selina’s next phase following the revelation and her fallout with Bruce.
"I think it’s very liberating for a young lady to go through a very big change. I’m excited to see, whatever change happens, I’m excited to see how she deals with it, and I’m excited to be able to play that. So that’s what I’m excited for right now, a big change and how she deals with it after the change!”
The #BatCat fallout is part of the three story-arc of “Gotham”’s return via Episode 13. Fans will also expect Jerome (Cameron Riley Monaghan) to finally embrace his villainous character as the Joker. Moreover, fans will also expect Penguin (Robin Taylor) heading towards a nervous breakdown after seeing his dead father with the trophy that he used to kill Tarquin (Dave Quay). The fandom would have to wait for Nygma (Cory Michael Smith), who has long wanted to destroy Penguin, to make his next move.
