The “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 cast and crew are back to filming as ABC announces the show’s official premiere date. Showrunner Krista Vernoff also revealed that this season’s theme is “love.”
As per TV Line, Vernoff summed up the theme as “The Season of Love,” which is suitable since “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 will pick up after Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington) and Alex Karev’s (Justin Chamber) wedding. There will not be much of a time jump so the 15th installment will continue with that atmosphere, where love is in the air.
Camilla Luddington hinted that Meredith Grey could also fall in love again in “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15. She has not been in any romantic relationship since her husband, Derek (Patrick Dempsey), died in season 11, so with this love-themed season, it is possible that Meredith will find love again.
In any case, “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 is underway and filming started on July 23.
Debbie Allen, who plays Catherine Avery in the drama, revealed the news with a tweet featuring a photo of her co-stars. They were on the set in Seattle.

Meanwhile, ABC just announced the release schedule for “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15. It will kick off on Sept. 27 for a 2-hour premiere from 8 to 10 p.m.
“Grey’s Anatomy” is a multi-awarded medical series that airs on ABC. It is the network’s longest-running primetime drama, which has been recognized at the Golden Globe Awards, Emmy Awards, Screen Guild Actors Awards and more.
