"Grey's Anatomy" season 15 recently came out with the upcoming installment's preview trailer that showcases what fans can expect from the two-hour premiere episode.

“Grey's Anatomy" season 15 showrunner Krista Vernoff described the upcoming installment as “the season of love.” Vernoff mentioned that the show will move in the direction of creating more storylines that emphasize joy, light, and humor compared to the show's previously angst-ridden seasons. But the season 15 trailer seems to only be teasing a lot more heartbreak.

First, “Grey's Anatomy” season 15's new trailer showcases the literal heartbreakers. The two new surgeons played by “Nashville” star Chris Carmack and Alex Landi are sure to be the new heartthrobs of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Chris Carmack's self-proclaimed “Ortho God” character looks to be insufferable for any woman who falls for him, while Alex Landi's Dr. Nico Kim will probably be breaking the hearts of any potential boyfriends he encounters as the show's first gay male surgeon.

Fans also get a glimpse of Teddy (Kim Raver) sharing her pregnancy news with someone. This is a huge problem waiting to happen in “Grey's Anatomy” season 15 considering Teddy's pregnancy could be the result of her and Owen (Kevin McKidd) spending the night together in Germany. And fans know that Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) and Owen have recently started shaping up to a semblance of a couple once again after the former husband and wife each adopted children to take care of under one roof.

Scenes of Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) in bed are played for laughs, with the possibility that Meredith was only having sex dreams about the surgical resident. But fans know that Meredith has already hurt Maggie (Kelly McCreary) before by dating Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson). Meredith could end up hurting Maggie again in “Grey's Anatomy” season 15 if she does pursue DeLuca.

For those wondering about any medical problems that the cast will encounter in “Grey's Anatomy” season 15 considering that the series is set in a hospital, Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) is featured once again dealing with problems in the operating room.

If Vernoff is to be believed that “Grey's Anatomy” season 15 will be a season wholly about love, it looks like the show's characters still need to go through a lot of pain just to be able to see all the love around them.

Fans of ABC's medical drama who look forward to seeing how the doctors and staff of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital continue to complicate their lives by sleeping with each other can look forward to “Grey's Anatomy” season 15 returning on air. Its premiere episode is set for Sept. 27
