“Grey’s Anatomy” Season 15 Episode 9 will be following several cliffhangers that the mid-season finale left behind. Although the love triangle between Owen (Kevin McKidd), Teddy (Kim Raver), and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) is one of the most anticipated stories by fans, others have their eyes on Mer (Ellen Pompeo).
Right now, Meredith is trapped with DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) in an elevator and the sexual tension between them is palpable. This is especially true since DeLuca already confronted Meredith earlier and told her how he really feels. Of course, there’s also Link (Chris Carmack) that Meredith agreed to go out with but fans aren’t too worried about him. While this is not a confirmation from showrunner Krista Vernoff, she did say that there’s going to be someone that will serve as a rebound guy for Meredith. And with how everything is shaping up between her and DeLuca, “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 15 Episode 9 might shed some light on who exactly this rebound guy is.
Meanwhile, a dark horse previously speculated running for Meredith’s heart has now been shut down. Longtime viewers of the show have thought that Koracick (Greg Germann) might one day be the one who can sweep the head of general surgery off her feet. However, Vernoff said that Mer’s love story will only revolve around Link and DeLuca. The showrunner also adds that “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 15 Episode 9 will explore more of DeLuca’s personality, which gives him the upper hand at the moment.
But in the tenth episode, Link will have his turn as well. Vernoff said that fans should give both characters a chance since they haven’t fully explored what they can offer to Meredith’s life. Yes, Link might sometimes be dim when it comes to communication but he may also have several redeeming characteristics that might be unveiled in the upcoming second half. As for when “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 15 Episode 9 will air, it’s been slated for release on Jan. 17, 2019.
