The arc focused on Jo (Camilla Luddington) continues in “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 episode 22. Unfortunately, she does not seem to be getting better even after going back to work. Will this eventually lead to a serious problem in her marriage with Alex (Justin Chambers)?
The synopsis of “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 episode 22 does not mention many things about Jo and only says she is having a “hard time at work.” It can be recalled that it all started after Jo decided to go to Pittsburgh and meet her biological mother.
Their meeting did not give her any closure. If any, it might have only triggered many personal tragedies she has repressed for many years. In “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 episode 22, more of her colleagues are getting worried about her.
In the short preview of “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 episode 22, Jo is seen arriving at the hospital. But after being greeted by Bailey (Chandra Wilson), who is visibly surprised to see her at work, Jo makes it obvious she does not want much face time with people these days.
After Link’s (Chris Carmack) failed attempt to make his long-time friend feel better, Jackson (Jesse Williams) will try to help Jo in “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 episode 22. He starts by letting her realize Alex is getting much worried, though, Jo tries to evade the conversation. Jackson then tells her, “You’re in a lot of pain. … You’re gonna ruin your life.”
On the other hand, Alex goes to Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) in “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 episode 22 presumably to vent about Jo. It is also possible that Alex is becoming exhausted with his wife being detached for this long. But Mer, in quite a scolding tone, reminds Alex that Jo is “going through something” possibly in an attempt to remind him to never give up on his struggling wife.
Viewers may also recall Jo told Link about leaving a couple of guys before after they told her they love her. Possibly because of her past and the story about her mother, Jo has been feeling undeserving of real love. Will Alex be able to help her feel and think otherwise? “Grey’s Anatomy” season 15 episode 22 will air on Thursday, April 18, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
