Not many economic dockets scheduled for today, however some with high risks associated. Focus is on FOMC.

Upcoming 

  • UK – Unemployment report will be released at 9:30 GMT. Chancellor Osborne will announce budget today at House of Commons at 12:30 GMT. Conference board leading economic index will be released at 13:30 GMT.
  • India – Trade deficit for February government likely to be released at 9:30 GMT. RBI will announce balance of payment statistics for fourth quarter at 11:30 GMT.
  • Euro Zone – ECB will hold non-monetary policy meeting today.
  • US – Building permits will be released at 12:30 GMT, along with housing starts and consumer price index for February. FOMC will announce monetary policy at 18:00 GMT. EIA will release weekly crude oil inventory report at 14:30 GMT.
  • Canada – Manufacturing shipments report for January will be released at 12:30 GMT.
  • New Zealand – Fourth quarter GDP will be announced today at 21:45 GMT.
  • Australia – RBA asst. governor Debelle scheduled to speak at 22:00 GMT.
  • Japan – Trade balance for February will be released at 23:50 GMT.
