Gulf News reported that ADNOC identified AED 60 billion in manufacturing opportunities at its Abu Dhabi forum Sunday, potentially expanding the work available to UAE suppliers across about 200 products.
ADNOC held its second Make it with ADNOC Forum on Oct. 25. Gulf News said the package includes critical spare parts and listed electrical submersible pumps, oil country tubular goods, seamless pipes, compressors, electrical components, catalysts and chemicals among the products. The outlet said some opportunities could suit smaller companies. It did not specify the period covered by the AED 60 billion or how much had already been awarded as contracts.
Omar Abdulla Alnuaimi, ADNOC’s Group Chief of its Commercial & In-Country Value Executive Function, told Gulf News that the product list reflected the company’s growth plans, investments and capital program. “You build it here, and we are ready to build it together,” Alnuaimi said.
ADNOC’s May 4 announcement set a goal to manufacture AED 90 billion worth of products locally by 2030, across more than 150 high-priority products. It cited drilling equipment, process chemicals, valves and oil country tubular goods among them. The company also said it had signed local manufacturing agreements worth AED 80 billion since 2022. That figure is the value of signed agreements; ADNOC’s announcement did not say how much had been produced or delivered. The company linked the broader program to building manufacturing capacity and strengthening UAE supply chains.
A May 3 ADNOC release said the company planned AED 200 billion in project awards over 2026-2028. ADNOC said the May forum would give manufacturers visibility into its project pipeline. Its 2025 sustainability report said the In-Country Value program had returned AED 307 billion to the UAE economy cumulatively since 2018.
Gulf News also reported that attendees could access further details through an event QR code and that ADNOC had published tender plans and timelines.
