Dubai’s Oct. 24 benchmark put 22-carat gold at Dh446 per gram; Gulf News reported indicative Jewel of Joy by Joyalukkas prices ranging from Dh500 for rings to Dh125,000 for necklaces.
Gulf News reported the retailer’s indicative prices across four product categories:
| Item | 18-carat | 22-carat |
|---|---|---|
| Rings | Dh500–Dh10,000 | Dh600–Dh12,000 |
| Necklaces | Dh1,500–Dh30,000 | Dh3,000–Dh125,000 |
| Bracelets | Dh600–Dh10,000 | Dh2,200–Dh8,000 |
| Watches | From Dh5,000 | Dh12,000–Dh20,000 |
The amounts apply to one retailer’s list and are indicative, rather than UAE-wide rates. Gulf News describes 18-carat gold as 75% pure and says 22-carat gold has a higher gold content and is common in traditional South Asian jewelry.
The Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group also listed 24-carat gold at Dh481.50 per gram for Oct. 24. Gulf News reported that Jewel of Joy quoted Dh481.50 for a 1-gram, 24-carat gold bar and Dh48,350 for a 100-gram bar.
The listed ranges are indicative; Gulf News reported that market movements, product details, weight and making charges can affect the final price. Retail executives told Gulf News that international gold-market movements would shape prices during Diwali and in the months that follow.
John Paul Alukkas, CEO of Joyalukkas Jewellery, said, “We have designs for every budget.” The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi’s 2026 holiday schedule gives Nov. 8 as the date for Diwali (Deepavali).
