Protesters brought a dispute over education funding to the University of Hamburg Monday, blocking access to its Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences, the German Press Agency (DPA) reported.

A DPA reporter observed construction barriers and waste containers at the entrances. Police confirmed a demonstration at the university.

A masked activist told DPA the blockade challenged money directed to military industry, saying one out of every three euros went there instead of education.

Police said a second gathering at the faculty was meant to show solidarity with the first demonstration. One participant in that separate group told DPA its members were University of Hamburg students who supported Gen Z regelt but were not organized through the initiative.

Separately, EconoTimes had reported on plans for Oct. 31 demonstrations in 31 German cities, with organizers calling for public investment and opposing conscription.
