Anadolu Agency counted planned Oct. 31 demonstrations in Berlin and 30 other German cities, 10 more than EconoTimes reported earlier.
The agency said Berlin is joined by demonstrations in 30 other cities. Its report described participants as Gen Z protesters ages 14 to 30, and said the planned actions oppose reductions in education and social services as well as compulsory military service.
In an earlier EconoTimes report on 21-city protest plans, Gen Z regelt was organizing events in Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg, Munich and Cologne, while groups elsewhere had planned rallies in 16 cities.
Anadolu Agency did not identify the organizers of each of the 30 demonstrations outside Berlin. It attributed concerns about service cuts alongside military spending to students in the report and said youth organizations of the Greens and The Left support participation in an International Youth Strike Day planned for Nov. 20.
