“Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 Episode 18 will be a mix of funny, dramatic, and tension-filled moments that fans would surely enjoy. On the professional side of things, the team will be dealing with a growing illegal steroid problem that has now spread throughout the island, CarterMatt reported.
As the trailer of “Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 Episode 18 showed, it seems that those involved with the steroid problem is trading the substance for blood. In an attempt to find its source, Tani (Meaghan Rath) and Junior (Beulah Koale) will be going undercover at a particular gym. And although this will be strictly police work, the attraction between these two characters will undoubtedly be highlighted again.
Throughout the series, it’s been hinted that Junior has feelings for Tani and vice versa. It would be interesting to see if the showrunners push this underlying narrative forward in “Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 Episode 18 given that they haven’t fully explored this avenue yet. Meanwhile, Danny (Scott Caan) and McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) will be acting as last-minute security detail for the former’s mother-in-law, Amanda Savage (Joan Collins).
Savage is a renowned personality in the literature world and has built her reputation as an accomplished romance novelist. She is expected to dish out a lot of quips aimed at Danny given that the duo’s relationship hasn’t exactly been stellar to begin with. “Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 Episode 18 will also have Savage taking a liking on McGarrett and will even flirt with the lieutenant commander at some point during the story.
With regards to the steroid case that the team is looking into, the showrunners may have taken inspiration from the fentanyl issue that’s been plaguing Hawaii. Overall, “Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 Episode 18 is looking to be a solid story to follow especially since Collins is included in its ensemble. CBS has slated it to air on March 8.
