According to recent leaks, Huawei's Mate 70 series is anticipated to launch around September 30, featuring advanced Kirin 5G processors and the latest HarmonyOS NEXT. The official release date may vary based on final hardware and software preparations.
Huawei's Mate 70 Series May Launch Around September, Featuring New Kirin 5G Processors and HarmonyOS NEXT
Huawei has confirmed (via Huawei Central), that the Mate 70 series will be released in the fourth quarter of this year. However, a recent leak indicates that the flagship lineup will be available around September 30. The speculation is based on the current hardware and software development rate.
As Weibo tipster @FixedFocus observed, the Huawei Mate 70 series could be released around September 30 at the latest. However, this date may be affected by the hardware and software preparation for the premium handsets.
The hardware and software include the new Kirin 5G processors and the HarmonyOS NEXT adaptation. Huawei is steadily progressing in both areas. The OEM has introduced the HarmonyOS NEXT beta and plans to release the stable version in Q4 2024.
Rumor has it that Huawei has completed the concluding phase of the 5nm process development for Kirin chipsets, and small-scale production appears to be in progress despite the organization having yet to respond to this assertion.
The launch date of the Mate 70 series has yet to be determined and may fail to materialize. This was also the case with the Pura 70 series, which is anticipated to be released in March. Huawei later referred to it as a gossip, asserting that the company had never disclosed the release date.
It would be prudent to evaluate this information with a grain of salt. The informant draws attention to several foldables in the pipeline in addition to the Mate 70 series.
Huawei Expands Beyond Mate 70 Series with New Foldables Including Mate X6 and Nova Foldable, Set for Late 2024 Release
According to the leak, Huawei focuses on more than just the Mate 70 series. The company is also planning to introduce a range of new foldable devices. These include the Mate X6, a highly anticipated tri-fold handset, an inner folding device, and a mid-range compact vertical Nova foldable. This diverse lineup of foldables is set to redefine the smartphone market.
The triple-foldable's anticipated launch date is the third quarter of this year. It will probably be employed likely in conjunction with advanced outward folding technology.
Conversely, Mate X6 is anticipated to be released in September of this year. It may compete with the Mate 70 series. Ultimately, the Nova foldable could be released with innovative enhancements at a reasonable price in August. Consequently, additional products are anticipated for the latter portion of the year.
