The hiatus prior to the release of “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391 is still in effect. But, luckily, fans in the United States can distract themselves by watching the English-dubbed version of the “Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission” movie.
The theatrical release of the English-dubbed “Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission” in the U.S. was confirmed back in November. And earlier this month, VIZ Media and CineLife Entertainment announced the movie will premiere on Wednesday, Jan. 30. The movie can then serve as a brief distraction for those eagerly waiting for “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391.

“Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission” will revolve around the Battle Olympia tournament at Heaven’s Arena. The movie was originally released in late 2013 in Japan. It also had an earlier US premiere in 2014 at the Japan Film Festival of San Francisco. But this is the first time that an English-dubbed version of the movie is getting a theatrical premiere in North America. Fans in the U.S. can check out if the movie is available in their area through this website.
Once “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391 is out, manga fans will find out what happens next in the Succession Contest arc. The preceding chapter featured a brief fight between the members of the Xi-Yu and Heil-Ly families. The last scenes with Hinrigh imply that they will continue searching through Tier 3 after receiving orders to find Hisoka.
Series creator Yoshihiro Togashi released the latest manga chapter last November. But it was immediately followed with the announcement that he will be taking a break and the release date for “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391 is not set in stone yet. Fans must be patient, though, as Togashi cited his health as one of the main reasons for the hiatus.
Togashi assured fans that the storyboards for at least the next 10 chapters, starting with “Hunter x Hunter” chapter 391, are already finished. Meanwhile, there are speculations that up to 20 new chapters might be released in 2019 while the end of the current hiatus could be announced in March.
