Hyundai Motor India’s September-quarter profit outlook varies by ₹87 crore across two brokerage estimates, sharpening questions about cost pressure ahead of the company’s Oct. 28 results.

Informist reported that a 12-brokerage average projected consolidated revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 at ₹20,465 crore, 17% above a year earlier. The average put consolidated net profit at ₹1,241 crore, down 21%, and consolidated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) at ₹1,996 crore, an 18% decline. Informist’s estimate implied a third consecutive quarterly profit decrease, while revenue growth would be Hyundai’s first double-digit increase in nine quarters.

The individual profit forecasts Informist cited ranged from ₹1,213 crore at Nirmal Bang to ₹1,300 crore at Systematix. Kotak Securities Ltd. projected an EBITDA margin of 9.7%, 420 basis points below the year-earlier level. Informist linked the expected pressure to input costs, spending to bring Hyundai’s Pune plant into operation and discounting. It also said vehicle volumes, pricing and sales mix could help offset those factors.

The estimates follow EconoTimes’ coverage of Hyundai’s July-September sales, which reported 219,072 vehicles sold during the period.

NDTV Profit separately reported Dolat Capital’s estimate of ₹20,260 crore in revenue, ₹2,234 crore in EBITDA and an 11% margin.

Company schedules listed Oct. 28 board meetings for Adani Enterprises and Vedanta. The Economic Times reported Adani Enterprises’ quarterly profit at ₹1,492 crore, compared with ₹3,304 crore a year earlier, in a live update.

A Hyundai filing set the results call for 4:30 p.m. IST on Oct. 28, equivalent to 7 a.m. EDT (11 a.m. UTC). The company said it would submit its investor presentation after publishing the results.
