Hyundai Motor India Limited’s October sales reached a monthly record of 82,299 units, up 17.7%, with exports growing faster than domestic sales.

The company reported the figures in a Nov. 1 filing with the BSE. Domestic sales totaled 62,799 units, a 16.7% increase from October 2025, while exports reached 19,500 units, up 21.1%. The export growth rate exceeded the domestic rate, though domestic sales made up the larger share of October volume.

October’s total surpassed the previous monthly record of 77,916 units, set in September. Hyundai’s monthly releases listed sales of 75,360 units in July and 65,796 in August before the September high. October’s result was 4,383 units above that prior record.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Tarun Garg said festive demand and activity in both the domestic and export markets helped the company reach the new high.

The monthly result followed Hyundai’s Q2 FY27, when it reported sales of 219,072 units, up 15% year over year. Domestic volumes rose 19% from a year earlier, while exports increased 4% year over year and 38% from Q1. Hyundai’s Q2 materials said export volumes included completely built-up and completely knocked-down units.

Hyundai said commodity costs weighed on profitability during the quarter. EconoTimes’ earlier coverage of Hyundai’s Q2 results reported the quarterly sales and profit figures. The company’s Q1 FY27 results set a full-year target of 8% to 10% growth in domestic sales and exports.

Hyundai also said it expects to launch a mass-market electric vehicle in Q4 FY27.
