IBM Ventures has invested in Leena AI, a developer of AI tools for workplace administration that IBM identified last year as a collaborator in its human resources services.

Leena AI announced the investment Oct. 20 but gave no amount, valuation or ownership stake. IBM had named the company an HR services collaborator in a Nov. 7, 2025, statement.

Leena AI says its AI Colleague platform responds to employee requests and carries out tasks involving several steps across human resources, IT and finance. The company says its agents can work with software from ServiceNow, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday and SAP. It puts the number of enterprises it serves at more than 500.

Leena AI said the investment would support its growth. The company cited what it sees as demand for AI agents that finish administrative processes instead of only answering questions. Emily Fontaine, Global Head of IBM Ventures, said Leena AI’s approach complements IBM’s work on coordinating and governing AI systems.

Leena AI also named Greycroft and Bessemer Venture Partners as existing backers.
