Inspira Enterprise, Inc. said Oct. 15 that Kelly Bissell would work with it as Chief Strategy Advisor, citing his experience as the cybersecurity firm pursues growth in the United States and other markets.
The company said Bissell would advise on its strategic direction and customer services across its markets. Inspira linked the role to security demands it associates with faster AI adoption, including the need to address compliance and business resilience alongside protection of systems.
Joint Managing Director Vishal Jain said Inspira wants the appointment to support expansion in the United States and other regions, deepen engagement with enterprise customers and strengthen its technology ecosystem. Jain said Bissell’s addition as Chief Strategy Advisor “will strengthen our ability to pursue the next phase of growth.”
Inspira says its operations span more than 20 countries, with offerings in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and digital transformation. Bissell said the challenges businesses face require an “‘AI-first’ and fast-moving cyber team.”
The company described Bissell as having more than 30 years of cybersecurity experience. It said he held chief information officer and chief technology officer positions at two organizations, served as chief information security officer at a global bank, and presented to more than 30 client boards.
Microsoft’s Security blog identified Bissell as a Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Security in 2023. Bissell later wrote that he was leaving Microsoft after four years.
Inspira’s Oct. 15 statement followed a company announcement on Oct. 13, 2022, that described Bissell as a strategic adviser. The company’s current leadership page lists him on its Global Advisory Board, while the latest announcement uses Chief Strategy Advisor without explaining how the titles relate.
