SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 9, 2016 -- Today, we announce that Integrated Benefits Institute Co-Founder and President Tom Parry, PhD, will be retiring effective April 1, 2017. It was Tom's vision and leadership that resulted in the creation of the organization in 1995.
Tom has guided the Integrated Benefits Institute (IBI) to become the leading research organization focused on health and productivity. In more than 20 years of dedicated and passionate service, Tom has led the growth of the organization to nearly 1,200 corporate members, representing more than 20 million U.S. workers.
During his tenure, Tom built the country's largest and most comprehensive absence benchmarking database, representing the experience of more than 52,000 employers annually. In addition to ensuring the strong financial health of IBI, Tom has helped hundreds of senior leaders think through the value proposition for improving workforce health, and moving from individual silos to integrated programs, policies and practices.
Following Tom's retirement, IBI will continue as the leading research organization in health and productivity and serve members through cutting-edge analysis, exemplary benchmarking programs, networking opportunities and educational events.
The IBI Board of Directors is managing the transition in a thoughtful and structured way. Steve Tighe, Partner of executive search firm Chandler Group, is leading the recruitment process for the next IBI president. To ensure a positive and smooth transition, we will build overlap time between the new leader and Tom before he departs.
The position description is now available on the IBI website. Please contact Steve Tighe with any interest or requisitions regarding the position or process.
