NEW YORK, Jan. 10, 2017 -- TransPerfect, the world’s largest privately held provider of language and technology solutions for global business, today announced the hiring of Roy Dvorkin, a veteran of the localization, media, and entertainment industries, as the company’s Vice President of Media and Entertainment.
Dvorkin has over 15 years of experience working closely with media and entertainment organizations to help them bring their content to multilingual audiences, including an 11+ year stint heading global sales at SDI Media in New York, London, and Los Angeles. Dvorkin and his team oversaw key client relationships for SDI Media’s portfolio, which includes 20th Century Fox, Hasbro, HBO, Lego, Paramount, and Warner Bros.
With a significant established presence in the industry already, TransPerfect expects to further accelerate its growth in the media and entertainment space and of its specialized suite of solutions for content creators and owners.
“Joining a technology-focused organization with such a strong reputation for innovation and commitment to its clients is both exciting and energizing for me,” said Dvorkin. “The opportunity to build a specialized group within an already successful company is appealing to me personally and professionally.”
TransPerfect Co-CEO Liz Elting remarked, “Roy has been a key player in working alongside studios and media organizations to encourage them to rethink how they approach content localization and delivery. We welcome his fresh perspective and spirit of innovation as we roll out industry-changing solutions that will revolutionize the way content owners and distributors manage and deliver global media.”
“Media and entertainment companies have historically been fairly conservative in their approach to multilingual content delivery,” stated TransPerfect Co-CEO Phil Shawe. “Our goal is to disrupt and transform this space by combining industry knowledge with technology-based solutions that create cost-effective, nimble, and broadly appealing strategies to reach consumers.”
Dvorkin is based in TransPerfect’s Los Angeles office.
