Italian seasonally adjusted data showed that exports rose 3.1 percent, whereas imports dropped 2.3 percent. Exports for both non-EU nations and EU nations rose 6.1 percent and 0.7 percent, respectively. Imports dropped 3.9 percent for non EU nations and by 1.3 percent for EU countries.
In the past three months, seasonally adjusted data, compared to the earlier three months, raised rather for exports and for imports.
On a year-on-year basis, exports rose 4.3 percent and imports dropped 5.8 percent. Exports to non-EU nations rose 8.3 percent, whereas to EU nations rose 1.2 percent. Imports fell 9.3 percent for non EU area and by 3.4 percent for EU area. The trade balance in October came in a t EUR 8.057 billion.
The total import prices index rose 0.1 percent sequentially. The total 12-month rate of change dropped by 3.8 percent. The quarterly total index of import prices dropped 1.1 percent year-on-year.
