Italy’s seasonally adjusted services turnover index rose 0.3 percent in the second quarter on a quarter-on-quarter basis. In particular the index rose 0.9 percent in Transportation and storage, whereas the index for administrative and support service activities rose 0.8 percent.
The wholesale trade, trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles index rose 0.4 percent. The index for information and communication dropped 1 percent, whereas that for accommodation and food service activities fell 0.2 percent.
On a year-on-year basis, the services turnover index rose 0.4 percent. The index for transportation and storage rose 2.1 percent, whereas for administrative and support services activities it rose 0.4 percent. On the other hand, the index for information and communication activities dropped 1.3 percent, while that for professional, scientific and technical activities fell 0.1 percent.
