J.P. Morgan Asset Management announced plans to bring 55ip’s tax-transition technology to Claude for Financial Advisors, targeting wealth advisors assessing the tax effects of portfolio changes. Anthropic’s marketplace lists a connector for existing 55ip clients, but the materials do not establish when it will become operational.
The planned integration uses 55ip’s ActiveTax Technology to create Tax Transition Proposals. Anthropic’s listing says the proposals draw on a client’s investment and tax-budget preferences and let advisors compare potential realized capital-gain scenarios.
The listing requires users to sign in and limits access to existing 55ip clients. It describes the connector as a proposal tool, with no ability to execute trades. The listing shows an October 2026 addition but gives no operational start date.
J.P. Morgan Asset Management said advisors can use the scenarios to explain how different realized-gain levels may affect a portfolio transition. The firm presented them as a way to prepare for conversations with clients about possible tax consequences.
55ip describes ActiveTax as technology for tax-aware portfolio transitions, ongoing management and withdrawals. Its process can use tax-loss harvesting when existing holdings move into a model portfolio or separately managed account. The asset manager’s announcement lists 55ip solutions across models, separately managed accounts, direct indexing and unified managed accounts.
55ip is a wholly owned subsidiary of J.P. Morgan Asset Management. The release reported more than $150 billion in 55ip “AUS” as of Sept. 30, 2026, without expanding the acronym. J.P. Morgan Asset Management reported $4.8 trillion in assets under management as of the same date.
Anthropic introduced Claude for Financial Advisors on Sept. 14 with connectors and workflow skills for research, preparation and documentation. Its launch materials say the skills are intended to support advisors’ own judgment.
J.P. Morgan Asset Management disclosed that JPMorganChase is an investor in Anthropic but provided no investment details. The asset manager said it plans to add capabilities through the connector, with no timetable announced.
