Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson continue to work separately despite the call of their fans to reunite for another project. It has been a year since their third and last film “Fifty Shades Freed” was released and up to now, they have yet to sign for a new movie together.
Since the end of the “Fifty Shades” era, both Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson tried various roles with the former even appearing in an animated movie. He also tried light romance drama while the actress tried her hands on suspense thriller films.
Jamie Dornan’s new gig
Now, Jamie Dornan may be famous for his Christian Grey role but he wants to expand his career even more so he is into comedy this time. The Irish actor is always seen as a serious guy but it seems his fans will come to know his funny sides when his new movie titled “Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar” comes out.
Dornan will be starring with Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo who also co-wrote the script as per The Hollywood Reporter. This movie which will be directed by Josh Greenbaum will tell the story of best friends Barb and Star who left their small town to go on a vacation in Vista Del Mar, Florida. While there, they will encounter the villain who is planning to kill the people around the town.
Dakota’s broken heart
Meanwhile, Dakota Johnson is recovering from her breakup with her 42-year-old boyfriend Chris Martin. The couple ended their 20-month relationship in June and the news came a big surprised as even their friends think that they are meant for each other.
It was alleged that Johnson and Martin were already talking about marriage with the Coldplay frontman looking forward to starting their family but the actress was said to be not prepared for this yet. There are suspicions that this difference in plans led the couple to call it quits.
Now, Dakota Johnson seems to be healing well as she looks radiant when she was spotted out and about and heading to her yoga class in L.A. Meanwhile, like Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson is also working on a new movie and it is a comedy as well. It is called “Covers” and will also star Tracee Ellis Ross and Ice Cube.
