“Jane The Virgin” Season 5 won’t be coming out anytime soon as CW announced its release sometime around the spring of 2019. The next installment will also be the last season for the satirical romantic comedy leaving fans devastated after the announcement was made.
“Jane The Virgin” Season 5 will continue on the story left behind by the previous installment’s finale, which revealed that Michael (Brett Dier) is actually alive. The revelation polarized fans of the series as Jane (Gina Rodriguez) has already moved on from her grieving and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) is now her new beau.
But even though the finale received mixed reviews from fans, showrunners are promising that the payout in “Jane The Virgin” Season 5 will be more than satisfying. “It’s going to be the Jane you love times ten,” co-producer Chantelle Wells said. “It’s going to be crazy, and you’re not going to want to miss a minute. It’s some of the best work that we’ve done on ‘Jane the Virgin.’”
Speaking about how they managed to weave together an immersive storyline, co-EP Valentina Garza said that most of the credit goes to having a female-oriented room. This set-up allowed the writers to liberally speak about issues concerning women and the tribulations that they’re facing in today’s society. Indeed, the series does have an authenticity to it that makes the show so riveting to watch. This is why fans of the romantic drama are saddened that “Jane The Virgin” Season 5 will be the last installment of the series.
As for the plot, little is known about this regard as the showrunners are keeping everything under wraps. However, this doesn’t stop the fans from speculating what’s going to happen in “Jane the Virgin” Season 5.
After fourth season’s jaw-dropping plot twist, fans of the series have been posting their own speculations as to how exactly Michael survived his supposed death. The show’s following has also been split into two factions as one side are saying that Michael is the best match for Jane, while the other faction is claiming that Rafael is clearly the obvious choice. This back and forth discussion is just testament to the satirical drama’s success and “Jane The Virgin” Season 5 will undoubtedly spawn more of this debate when it airs next year.
