Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are no longer together but rumors continue to hound them. The most recent story about them suggests that the former “Friends” star is upset because she can’t escape from her husband’s clutch.
As per Gossip Cop, NW magazine claims that Jennifer Aniston hates the fact that she and her ex-husband are tied to the death of their friend’s assistant that happened in 2015. The 49-year-old reportedly felt dismayed with her involvement in the case since this is the only remaining thing that is tying her to Justin Theroux.
“Jen desperately wants this tragic situation resolved as soon as possible," the insider allegedly told NW. “The longer this case goes on, the longer she’ reminded of her failed relationship with Justin, given that it all happened on their honeymoon.”
It can be recalled that during their honeymoon in 2015, they celebrated the occasion by going to Bora Bora with their close friends and family. One of their guests was Joel Silver, a movie producer, and he brought his personal assistant with him. Unfortunately, during the trip, 28-year-old Carmel Musgrove died after drowning in a lagoon.
In 2017, the late assistant’s family filed a lawsuit for the wrongful death of their daughter and the case against Silver is still ongoing. Both Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux were also at the scene so they are somehow involved.
In Touch Weekly reported that the former couple had to face questioning in connection to the case. They will be forced to reunite and testify in court if needed.
Now, Gossip Cop insists this is a false story. The publication clarified that both Jennifer and Justin had already left Bora Bora when Musgrove died, thus they cannot stand as witnesses to the incident.
Lastly, GC checked with Jen’s representative, who directly stated that the NW story is not true. He also noted that the ex-couple are in no way involved in Joel Silver’s wrongful death lawsuit and the magazine is just using the tragedy to make up a story about Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s divorce.
