Jennifer Aniston and her “Friends” co-stars have long been rumored to be in talks for a reunion show. It was said that Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc have even held meetings to discuss their much-awaited return together via a reboot of their popular 90s show.
Now, a report that was published on Heat seems to suggest that the “Friends” reunion is actually not happening not because of the production issues or anything, but the main problem was the main cast themselves. According to the publication, Aniston and her co-stars have been demanding too much money for their appearance on the reboot.
Each of them is reportedly requesting a $20 million payout from Warner Bros. This amount is said to be totally ridiculous thus the reunion is getting delayed.
“Despite what they say publicly, there have been negotiations,” the insider claimed. “The problem is they’re demanding enormous fees.”
The tipster added that Jennifer Aniston and her friends have no plans of moving an inch if they will not get getting the salary that they want for the series. The cast thinks that the project is a big one, thus they want their talent fees to reflect how big it is.
However, Gossip Cop looked into the situation to reveal the truth, and it discovered that Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry and the rest of her co-stars are not even aware that there is a “Friends” reunion going on. It is not possible for them to make a demand when they do not even know about the project, proving that it was just a malicious rumor.
Finally, Jennifer Aniston was previously revealed that a reunion for the “Friends” series is possible because all of them are willing to do it again. Thus, the talk about money is not a problem since they will happily star in the show that paved the way for their popularity and close friendship.
