Yuji has been warned that he is bound to witness grim things while studying to become a jujutsu sorcerer, and one of them happens in “Jujutsu Kaisen” episode 12. Yuji will try to save a vengeful Junpei that will lead to a fight with Mahito.
‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ episode 12 spoilers: What will happen to Junpei
“Jujutsu Kaisen” episode 12 picks up from Yuji finding Junpei attempting to kill a student and a teacher in his high school. Naturally, Yuji will try to save anyone he could and that includes Junpei as well.
Junpei, however, is filled with hatred and is being manipulated by Mahito and Geto. “Jujutsu Kaisen” episode 12 will likely reveal what cursed technique Mahito has taught Junpei, which has something to do with using poison. The grieving son will engage Yuji in a fight with a cursed spirit in the form of a jellyfish. The cursed energy-based poison is emitted through its tentacles, which Yuji will try to avoid while also hoping to talk some sense into Junpei.
Based on the manga chapters to be covered in “Jujutsu Kaisen” episode 12, Yuji will manage to calm down Junpei and proposes that he enters jujutsu high with him. Yuji tries to convince Junpei that there are still good people in the world and studying to become a jujutsu sorcerer will allow him to figure out who killed his mother.
Junpei will appear to agree with Yuji but this is Mahito’s cue to enter the scene in “Jujutsu Kaisen” episode 12. Mahito’s goal is to use Junpei to upset Yuji enough so he would rely on Sukuna’s power. Once Sukuna is out, Mahito and Geto plan on entering a binding vow with him. But despite Yuji asking for Sukuna’s assistance, the so-called king of curses refuses to help. Mahito will transfigure Junpei and use him to attack Yuji, which almost instantly kills Yuji’s new friend.
‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ episode 12 release date, where to watch
The events in “Jujutsu Kaisen” episode 12 will establish just how far Mahito is willing to go to follow Geto’s plans and reiterate how the cursed spirit has no regard for human life. On the other hand, it should also remind fans how spontaneous Yuji is in his efforts to save people.
Fans should expect the anime to continue after “Jujutsu Kaisen” episode 12 as it has been listed to have 24 episodes. However, it is unknown when the next installment will be available once episode 12 is released on Saturday, Dec. 19. The anime is streaming on Crunchyroll.
