Two fan-favorite characters from the manga series are getting their anime debut in “Jujutsu Kaisen” episode 8. Aoi Todo and Mai Zenin are very likely making their first appearances on the small screen following the events of Gojo’s latest fight with powerful Curses.
‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ episode 8 spoilers: Who are Aoi Todo and Mai Zenin?
One of the reasons avid fans of the series have been looking forward to the Goodwill Event is that it will give Tokyo’s Jujutsu High the chance to encounter other aspiring sorcerers from Kyoto. Todo and Mai happen to be two of the most important characters to be introduced who come from Kyoto Jujutsu High.
In the manga, however, their introduction did not go as friendly as possible. As Tokyo’s upperclassmen said in the manga, the students from Kyoto have a better reputation than their administrators but they do like to engage in some trash-talking. And this is the kind of personality that anime fans should expect from Todo and Mai in “Jujutsu Kaisen” episode 8.
One of the early scenes in “Jujutsu Kaisen” episode 8 is likely Mai and Todo’s encounter with Nobara and Megumi. While Todo and Mai would establish their personalities early on, their interaction would be a combination of bizarre questions and some action.
Todo does not like boring people and the way for him to know what kind of a person someone is by asking them what type of girls he likes. He then asks Megumi this question and his answer will not impress the new character. Todo will then attack Megumi. While Todo is doing this for fun, he also means business and would even incur some injuries on Megumi in “Jujutsu Kaisen” episode 8.
Mai, on the other hand, will deal with Nobara. Like Todo, she also means business and would even hold Nobara at gunpoint in “Jujutsu Kaisen” episode 8. Luckily for both Nobara and Megumi, their upperclassmen will arrive in time to defend them. It should also be noted that Mai and Todo are both third-year students and that should explain the difference in power and skills.
‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ episode 8 release date, where to watch
“Jujutsu Kaisen” episode 8 will be released on Saturday, Nov. 21. A simulcast is available on Crunchyroll with English subtitles.
