Jungkook is part of the South Korean boy band BTS and he is known to have millions of fans around the world. This is why it is not surprising anymore if he often trends on social media or other platforms online.
He has broken records on YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and Asian social media sites such as Weibo. Recently, he was said to have made a new record on another Chinese-owned video sharing site TikTok. In this case, this is quite surprising because Jungkook does not even have an account there.
The new TikTok king
As per Metro, the 22-year-old Jungkook amassed an incredible 15.6 billion views on TikTok and he is the only individual to attain this feat. The number of views are still going up and it could even reach 16 billion in no time.
While other celebrities can have millions of views too, in Jungkook’s case, he does not have a personal account so it was his fans’ posts that people viewed. They used his name as the hashtag so the views count was credited to the idol singer. In any case, BTS as a whole has an account in TikTok and it has 18.5 million followers as of this time.
The number of views on videos featuring Jungkook increases exponentially and it is all thanks to the ARMYs who never get tired of sharing the post, viewing and liking all of them.
Jungkook with BTS
As a group, Jungkook and his bandmates also made new records on YouTube after dropping their very first full English song on Aug. 21. The single titled “Dynamite” gained more than 100 million views in 24 hours, proving that they are kings on this American video-sharing site as well.
Forbes reported that Jungkook and the rest of BTS made history as “Dynamite” was named as the most viewed video of all-time. “We can confirm that BTS’ 'Dynamite' official MV has set a new all-time 24-hour record, surpassing 100 million views with its 101.1 million views in the first 24 hours,” a YouTube rep told the publication via a statement.
